Welcome to the 2's!

Grace is finally 2.  She has been acting 2 for the past few months but it is now official.  I've decided to continue the blog going and then every year for her birthday turning it into a book.  If you haven't done this before it is a must.  They are going to be my new form of scrapbooking.  It is lots easier, cheaper and more durable.  Here is a picture of The Grace Gazette Volume 1.  

This past month was the start of Summer vacation.  Grace and I spend the mornings on the swing set, lunch on the back porch, nap time and then time in the pool!  She is a little fish in the water.  

We also went on vacation with the Dickmeyer's up to Lake Michigan.  Grace spent her time in the kiddie pool playing with her "mamma ducks."  We snapped a few pics of her wading through lake Michigan.  

The biggest highlight of the month was Grace's birthday.  She loved her doggie party!  She talked about it for days leading up to it and even days after.  I think she finally understands that she will not have another one for awhile.  We are still working on learning that we are now two and not five but this child has a mind of her own.  We started the day at the splash pad and then went to the hotdog stand in Huntington (all Grace's choices).  After celebrating Grace's birthday with mommy and daddy we then had a small family party at home.  Below you can see some of the action from the party.  

Now we are off to enjoy our last month of Summer before mommy has to head back to school to get things ready for the kiddos.  See you next month on the 3rd!
