Fall is here and the Dickmeyer house is BUSY! Grace is loving the Fall weather and can't seem to get enough of the outdoors. We have purchased a warm Winter coat, gloves, hat, boots and snow pants. This girl will be prepared.
A lot happened this month. We did more than we usually do in a month and loved every minute of it.
The month started with Grace's first field trip. She went to the pumpkin patch with her friends from school. Her dad is in line for Dad of the Year for going as a chaperone for nine other 2-year olds. From the pictures you can tell they both enjoyed it!

All ready for the trip. |

One of the highlights of the month was Carter coming to visit. Carter is Amber (one of my closest friends from college) and Travis' son. He is handsome! He and Grace have been deemed best friends for life whether they want to be or not. Carter came to visit while his mom and dad went to see a play. Grace loved getting to play with Carter. She is practicing the role of big sis.

Keep your eyes on me I'll show you how to do it. |

You can't get cuter than those two faces. |

It's not a slumber party unless you watch Baby Praise.

All tuckered out.
Grace also had a hat parade at school this month. In the midst of the hat parade the tornado siren went off and we had to take shelter in the conference room for 20 minutes with 20 two-year olds. The kids didn't seem to care a bit. Check out the little pumpkin bringing up the tail end of the parade.
Grace has made her Emmy proud and taken up a love for sewing. At Emmy's she likes to work with "fabic." Emmy even lets her play with pins sometimes. She may walk in Emmy's footsteps someday and create masterpieces.
This month at school was also orange and black day. Mrs. Reuille loved the pattern of Grace's finger nails. |
Grace and her dad also carved their annual jack-o-lantern. Grace participated a lot more this year. She loved to watch it glow at night.
Our last big event of the month was "The Night of the Living Red." Grace made her first of what I am sure will be many appearances at Assembly Hall. We went trick or treating with the IU basketball players. She LOVED it! After trick or treating we got to watch the Cream and Crimson scrimage. She loved watching the boys play basketball and especially loved when they would play the IU fight song. Basketball season has begun.
That is all for this month. Let's hope next month is not as busy but I am sure Grace will have fun things to share with you. See you next month of the 3rd!
