September 2010

Fall is here and we love it!  Grace is loving to be outside more and more.  We have been on the move this month.  The month started out with school picture day.  This is a stressful event for the mother of 2-year old or maybe it is because I am a teacher and I've seen some parents put hard work into getting their child ready for pictures and then the end result of the school picture.  I sent her to school looking good for the pictures but then had no clue what she would look like come picture time.  If the pictures didn't turn out well at least we have this one to fall back on.
Isn't it a shame that she isn't photogenic?

Grace has also been rooting on the fighting Irish for her Uncle Chris.  She knows nothing about football and really doesn't care but at least she likes to sport her jersey and shouting "Go Notre Dame."  Don't worry her loyalty still lies with IU.

This month at school brought Red Day.  Grace is the daughter of a teacher so of course I got her decked out and ready to celebrate red day.  She was dressed in red from head to toe.  She even had red panties on.  She was concerned that her toe nails were purple but I told her we would cover those up with her red socks and Mrs. Reuille would never know.  She even had 2 red hair accessories in.
Be sure to notice the red shiny shoes as well.
This month is orange and black day.  I'm already
planning the outfit.
We made our final trip to the zoo for the season.  We may make it to Halloween and Christmas at the zoo but we'll have to pay then.  We have definitely gotten Emmy and Papaw's money's worth out of the zoo pass.  We think we went at least 10 times since the end of June.  The best part is that we get to use the same pass in April until the end of June next year.  Lets hope Emmy and Papaw get Grace another pass for her birthday next year.  She sure loves it there.

The golf season is slowing down and Grace likes that because she gets to see Uncle Chris more often.  This month she had a dinner date with Uncle Chris.  She insisted on wearing her church coat and hat to the restaurant to meet him.  Uncle Chris' comment was "She isn't going to wear that inside is she?"  He doesn't appreciate a girl with a true sense of fashion.

We also made a trip to Chicago this month for Charlie's baby dedication.  We also got to meet all of Charlie's friends from California.  Grace thought the ladies from California were pretty neat.  She also liked getting to see Uncle David's new house he is renting with his friends.  She is hoping Uncle David will come to her house soon and play outside.

Between school, Miss Nancy's and keeping up with her social calendar Grace is one tired lady at the end of the day.  I must confess I like to sneak into her room at night and cuddle with her for a little bit.  My favorite is when she snuggles right up next to me and then Caroline starts kicking.  No better feeling in the world than spending time with my two girls.

That's all for this month.  See you next month on the 3rd!
