April 2011

It has been a busy month at the Dickmeyer house.  I think I say that every month.

This month brought warm temperatures which meant we could play on the swing set, go for wagon rides and even teach Caroline to enjoy the great outdoors.  Little does Caroline know but Grace has plans to spend our days outside this summer.

As you call tell from the pictures Rich is up for the Dad of the Year Award for his great outdoor playing abilities.

I am here to report that Grace's love/hate relationship with green beans is still going strong.  As a baby she loved green beans.  When she started eating food she would eat every vegetable imaginable.  That no longer is the case.  I will let the pictures speak for themselves.  I will preface the story with the fact that there were only 4 green beans on her plate.
"Are you serous? Four green beans!"

"Oh, my belly!"
This month was Grandma Dickmeyer's birthday.  In keeping with tradition Grandma got to select the menu and then I do the cooking, however, this year Grace decided she would help cook.  The meal was even better with Grace's help.

Grace's big news this month is that she is having a lot of dry pull ups in the morning when she wakes up!  She had 5 dry pull ups in a row and earned a Dora nightgown!
This month also brought Easter.  Rich taught Grace the Easter story and Grace knows that Jesus died on the cross for us and 3 days later He rose again.  We celebrate with Grandma and Grandpa Dickmeyer and Uncle David on Saturday night and then with Emmy and Papaw on Sunday.  Emmy plans the best Easter Egg Hunts. She had 12 eggs filled with money, pretzels, m&ms and fruit snacks.
Family pictures are not so easy to take anymore.

"How do I look?"

"Where are those eggs hiding?"

"I found one!"

Checking out the loot.

There you have it, another look at the life of a 2 year old.  See you next month on the 3rd
