"I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you." John 14:18

Last month on Orphan Sunday our church did a slide show of families within our church who were in the process of adopting.  As we were hearing about the different families one particular family tugged at our heart strings.  This family has been going through the process of adoption for a couple years because they are wanting to do it debt free.  As Rich and I were talking about this family's story later that evening at dinner Grace chimed in and said, "Can we take care of their baby until they can pay for her?"  We explained to Grace that we could not do that for this family but that we would like to foster children at some point.  Grace said she wanted to help this family.  Rich and I began to think and came up with the idea that during the month of December Grace's chore money would go towards this family.  Fast forward a month and a half later and the night came for Grace to bless a family.  I had contacted the family and told them that Grace had done a service project for their family and we would like to stop by and present it to them.  We showed up at their house this evening with them having no real idea why we were there.  They invited us in to their home.  Once inside Grace introduced herself and told them she had been doing jobs at home and earning money.  She then told the family that she wanted to give them her money to help them adopt a baby.  No sooner had Grace gotten the words out did the mom shed tears of gratitude for Grace. The family was grateful for Grace's servant heart and prayed a prayer of thanksgiving for Grace.  Words can not do justice for how Rich and I felt watching our little girl who God entrusted us to raise follow her Creator.   We know God was in Heaven saying, "Well down my faithful servant Grace."
