18 months
Another month has come and gone. Things have been exciting at the Dickmeyer household. First things first, Grace is potty trained! The process was stressful for mom, but Grace was quite the trooper! Grace began sitting on the potty and watching Baby Praise on the laptop to sitting on the potty for a pretzel and now we just sit on the potty because that is what big girls do!

Mom and Dad took Grace to Coney Island to continue Mommy's family tradition of eating a hotdog and seeing the Christmas lights. Grace loves hotdogs! She thought the lights were pretty cool too.

Grace continues to love music. She has started singing more words to her favorite songs. She sings "E-I-E-I-O, woof, woof." That is her rendition of Old McDonald.

We have a new member of the family, Chuck. He came to live with us on Christmas Eve (via Uncle Chris). Chuck is the best dog ever he doesn't need to be walked, fed or taken outside to pee. He likes to stand guard in Grace's room at night next to her crib.

Grace got a toy room for Christmas. It was not an addition to the house just more so Mom and Dad cleaning stuff out of the house to make room for Grace's toys. Her toys now have a place and Grace loves to clean them up. She also likes to go in the room and shut the door for
privacy. Thank goodness she isn't going in there to talk on the phone to a boy!

Aunt Anne, Uncle J and Uncle Dee-Dee were all home for a couple of days and Grace loved performing for them. Everything she did they thought was cute so Grace pulled out all of her tricks and did her best performances.

Since birth Grace has been very vocal. She loves to talk, sing, play instruments and make any kids of noises. To date she has 5 phones. She loves to walk around with them and call people. She also has learned how to play pretend and her favorite pretend activity to play is to go shopping. She swings her purse over her shoulder and says "bye-bye.!"

That's all for this month. We'll send more next month!
