20 months
Grace is no longer a teen (in months that is.)
Can you see the orneriness in that grin? Grace has got a mind of her own. I’m not sure where she gets itJ.
This past month has been fun with Grace. Don’t get me wrong it has always been fun to be a mom but as your child gets older and they begin to interact more it is a different kind of fun.
We celebrated Valentine’s Day. Grace wore her first pair of leg warmers. She had her first party too. At Miss Nancy’s she took Dora Valentines for all of her friends. Her friends brought lots of good treats that her daddy is enjoying.
Speaking of Dora, Grace has found a new favorite. She loves Dora! Emmy got her Dora jammies for Valentine’s Day. We wear them every night even though they are summertime jammies. When they are dirty we have to rely on our faithful doggie jammies.
Grace has decided this month that she no longer needs a high chair. She insists on sitting in the booth on her own with no help. She also prefers to have the entire booth to herself with mommy and daddy on the other side. Grace prefers that we now hold hands when praying instead of folding hands. She is very adamant on this and will not close her eyes until everyone is ready.
This month we also had a baby shower for Aunt Anne and Cousin Charlie. Grace enjoyed getting to help greet everyone and where her Spot t-shirt. She wished that she could have stayed longer but she definitely was due for a nap.
Grace is beginning to put words together in sentences. Her favorite right now is “That’s my daddy.” She says this in the morning when she hears Rich unlocking the front door.
Last of all, Grace is in big girl panties with NO plastic panties. For doing such a great job on the potty Grace got to pick out panties. She chose Dora. She now has doggie and Dora panties. What more could a girl ask for?
Spring is on the way and hopefully that means we will be having some warmer weather.
Same time, same place, next month on the 3rd!
