January 2010

Life just keeps getting better.  Grace's imagination keeps growing and growing.  As you can tell we love to dress up and go "shopping."  Her trips usually include going to Aldi's or Target.

This month since I have been on maternity leave we have spent a lot of time at home playing!  Let me tell you this, a 2 1/2 year old sure can wear you out!

We spent time playing outside in the snow.  I should say her dad spent time with her outside in the snow.  The snow is not my favorite thing.  I prefer the pool in the backyard during the summer.

Grace has also begun having picnics in the living room with her dad.  When we go to a restaurant and they give saltine crackers she asks if she can take them have to save for a picnic.  Caroline gets to join every once in awhile though.  However, I have been told that mommy's do not go on picnics just daddies and little girls.

Grace loves her sister Caroline.  Whenever Caroline fusses Grace runs to her side and in a high pitch voices says, "Oh Caroline, you ok."  She loves to help as well.  She is best at finding a burp rag, pacifier or swaddler.
Grace's exact words during this picture were, "Mom, I don't need your help.  I do it."

Grace also went to Baby Carter's birthday party this month.  Carter is now 1 and Grace loves any time she get to see him and spend time with him and his mommy too.

Grace started her valentines this month too.  We had to call in the expert cookie baker to help.  Grace got to spend the afternoon with Aunt Carrie baking cooking and then daddy helped with the icing while Grace was in charge of the sprinkles.  They will be passed out soon so listen for knocks on your front door.

She had to make sure they were safe to pass out.

Grace continues to love school.  She has started gymnastics at school and is learning to do a somersault.  She also now goes to library class and knows right where the Max and Ruby books are.  They are working on rhyming words and counting to 15 and beyond.  We had parent/teacher conferences last week and Mrs. Reuille said she is an absolute delight to have in class.

Stay warm out there and think spring!  See you next month on the 3rd.
