To the fashionistas in all of us

Grace LOVES To play dress up!  She takes after her role model, "Fancy Nancy" whose self-motto is, more is better in terms of accessories.

Grace's conversational speech has went through the roof this month.  This post is dedicated to the conversations that Rich, myself and others have had with Grace.

(after having an accident in her pants, I asked Grace why she peed in her pants) "Momma, Can we talk about this tomorrow?"

(while driving in the car one morning) "Look at all that smoke (fog), I can't see anything!"

(while laying in bed before bedtime) "Momma, I can't visit tonight my two eyes are tired."

(while helping my mom fix dinner at her house Grace came out to the kitchen) "I'll be in my kitchen (play one in the living room), let me know if you need anything."

(after having dinner at Emmy and Papaw's) "That was nice visiting with Papaw and Uncle Chris."

(Rich gave me a kiss before leaving for work) "Oh that's nice, daddy likes you!"

"I'm going to marry Baby Carter and have a Fancy Nancy Dance!"

(after stopping at Mc Donald's for a snack after church) "Mom, I'm not sharing my hashbrown with Caroline because she doesn't have any teeth, ok?"

(at Papaw's 65th birthday party when Grace's 2nd cousin was getting ready to leave who is about 40) "That was nice of you to come and play with me."

(while taking a nap with Emmy) "Emmy is that a stone in your elbow?  Do you need to have a doctor take it out?"

(after Grandpa and Grandpa watched the girls so Rich and I could go out to eat) "Mommy next time Grandpa and Grandma come to watch me, can you teach them how to use the tv?"  (apparently Grace didn't get to watch a movie before bed)

(while driving home one night Grace looked out the window) "Thank you God for the pink sun (sunset)."

(while Rich and I were tucking Grace in) "Let's pray for our family."

(talking with Emmy after preschool about what she may want to do when she grow up) "Emmy I may want to be a doctor like grandpa and take care of people.  I may want to work at Target or build houses.  Maybe I will make snow angels.  (a couple minutes later) "Maybe I'll play the drums!"

(when asked if she would want to work with Grandpa as a doctor) "No, I work with Dr. Lander(Landrigan) and just take care of daddies."

(out of the blue) "If I be a doctor then there will be Dr. Grandpa Dickmeyer and Dr. Grace Dickmeyer."

Being a parent become more enjoyable by the month or should I say by the conversation.

See you next month on the 3rd!
